This was my dream dress and I hope it can also be that for someone else.
The fabric is silk faille, which gives it a very structured and modern look, yet is still light enough to dance until 3 am (which I did!) It was perfect for my wedding in France: sophisticated, timeless, clean lines, and simple, yet it makes such a statement. I first fell in love with its origami-like bustle featured on a wedding blog ( I felt extraordinarily glamorous and it gave my straight figure the illusion of curves with the gorgeous piping on the bodice.
Additional Details:
- Dry cleaned at a very reputable non-toxic dry cleaner; all stains (which was mostly dirt from the outdoor photos) are completely removed; can either be shipped in the storage box or with a garment bag.
- There is a built-in/attached corset (original to the dress) which helps hold the dress up; no additional bra needed since I had cups added.
- I purchased this in a bridal size 10 but had it altered quite a bit at the waist and hips (please see dimensions), only slight alteration around the rib cage/back; I am typically a street size 4-6 and a 32C bra.
- The inner ribbon/straps that are used to loop on to the hanger have been snipped off but retied back on; my wedding photographer recommends they be removed on the day so they don't pop out!
